RESURFACER

Spicules open the skin. PDRN and copper peptides go in with them. Centella and ceramides settle it down. One bottle, one step, no serum required.

The exfoliation paradox

You didn't age. You over-exfoliated.

Ageing takes years. Collagen goes slowly, turnover slows gradually, skin thins over decades.

A broken barrier takes a fortnight. And it looks almost identical — dehydration lines that read as wrinkles, dullness that reads as tired skin, sudden stinging from a product you've used for years.

Which is the trap: it looks like ageing, so you exfoliate harder to fix it, and the exfoliating is what caused it. If you moved from a Reedle Shot 100 to a 300, then eyed the 700, you already know exactly what this feels like.

Mechanism

Open. Deliver. Close.

Three things have to happen for a spicule product to be worth using. Most do the first one and sell you the other two separately.

That's the entire argument for this product. Not a revolution — just the two steps everyone else leaves in a second bottle.

Composition, not claims

Everyone opens the skin. We close it again.

Spicules are the easy part — plenty of products have them. The question is what goes into the channels once they're open, and what rebuilds the barrier afterwards. Here's the composition, side by side.

What this won't do

Every brand in this category tells you what their product does. Almost none will tell you where it stops. Here's ours, before you spend €59.

If any of the above rules you out, don't buy it. Email us and we'll tell you what to use instead — even if it isn't ours.

Renuex Labs — Dublin
Who makes this

There is no laboratory. There's a Dublin company and a manufacturer in Korea.

We're not dermatologists and we're not going to pretend to be. Renuex Labs is a small Dublin operation that got tired of spicule products that gave you the glow and took your barrier as payment.

So we specified this one ourselves and had it made by a Korean manufacturer that has been formulating spicules for years: the needles and the repair in the same bottle, because applying a serum after the channels have closed is theatre. Copper tripeptide-1 went in because almost nobody else in this category has it. Madecassoside went in at a high dose because the tingle needs somewhere to go.

Renuex Labs is notified on the CPNP and is the named EU Responsible Person. Our name and our Dublin address are on the box. That's not marketing — it's a legal position, and it means if this product is wrong, it's wrong on us.
